On the edge of the Celje basin in the shelter of the mountains (Fruit growing) Mirosan s.c. is located, a company that has been operating successfully for over 50 years. The main activities of the company are cultivation of apples and fruit seedlings.
Plantations are located on slightly elevated ground above the valley on the south side of the river Savinja between Celje and Žalec. Some plantations are also located at the foot of the Kamnik mountains.
In 2006 Mirosan s.c. and partners decided to establish a new subsidiary company Mirovita Ltd., whose main business is processing of fruit and vegetables. At the end of 2006 a new production hall was built and equipped with a modern automated line for peeling and cutting apples, a band drier for fruits and vegetables and a modern packaging line.
